The Institut Henri Poincaré (IHP), attached as an "Ecole interne" to the "Université Pierre et Marie Curie" (UPMC), is the house of Mathematicians and Theoretical Physicists. Around its library, it hosts seminars, thematic programs and most of the scientific societies in Mathematics and Physics. The institute publishes 3 books of the collection Annales de l'IHP.

The IHP is a member of ERCOM (European Research Centres on Mathematics) and of IMSI (International Mathematical Sciences Institutes), which federate at european and world level the main research centers. The IHP is referenced by the Scientific research International Center.

Prize for Resolution of the Poincaré Conjecture a Awarded to Dr. Grigoriy Perelman

The Clay Mathematics Institute (CMI) announces today that Dr. Grigoriy Perelman of St. Petersburg, Russia, is the recipient of the Millennium Prize for resolution of the Poincaré conjecture. The citation for the award reads:
The Clay Mathematics Institute hereby awards the Millennium Prize for resolution of the Poincaré conjecture to Grigoriy Perelman.
